Dr. Sharyn Gibson Ed.D.

Sharyn Gibson Ed.D., department head of Radiological Sciences, passed away Friday, March 28, at Memorial Health University Medical Center. She was 60 years old. Gibson came to AASU as a professor in 1983. She served on several committees and helped develop the Department of Radiological Sciences into what it is today. The AASU community has lost not only a hard-working professor and department head, but also a friend. She was known as a professional, a motorcyclist and a woman with a "hippie element" in her life. Gibson's family has established the Dr. Sharyn D. Gibson Memorial Scholarship Fund in her honor. The Inkwell will remember Gibson with a more in-depth memorial article in next week's edition.
