"Appaloosa" is the story of lawman Virgil Cole (Ed Harris) and his deputy Everett Hitch (Viggo Mortensen), two friends who are hired to defend the western town of Appaloosa from a lawless rancher, Randall Bragg (Jeremy Irons). The town of Appaloosa contracts Virgil and Everett to protect the town from Randall, who has killed the marshall and his deputies. The complication comes when the proclaimed widow Allison French (Renée Zellwegger) arrives in town and Virgil takes a liking to Allison, but her motives are unclear. The movie is based on the 2005 novel by Robert B. Parker.

Charles falls in love with Sebastian's glamorous world and receives an invitation to Brideshead, the family manor, where he falls in love with Sebastian's sister Julia, but as he falls in love with her, he finds opposition in the family's Catholic faith. The movie is based on the novel by Evelyn Waugh.

Bud Johnson (Kevin Costner) is a lovable loser with a precocious, smart twelve-year old daughter, Molly (Madeline Carroll). She takes care of them both, until Election Day, when she commits an act that causes the presidential election come down to one vote.
Bud Johnson becomes the voice for Joe Average Citizen when the world realizes that his vote will be the one that elects the next president. Zach and Ben have been best friends all their lives. Zach continually got them in trouble, and Ben was oblivious to everything due to his crush on a girl named Heather. Heather moved out of the neighborhood, leaving Ben feeling he had missed his chance. Twelve years later, Ben & Zach have drifted apart due to the different paths of their lives.
Ben is overworked at his law firm, and the only thing outside of work he has paid attention to is his ongoing crush on Heather. Zach works at a nursing home, and his life changes when a dying patient at the nursing home begs him to find her granddaughter, whom she desperately wants to see her before she dies. The granddaughter, of course, is Heather. Heather worked as an environmentalist and went missing years ago. The two friends along with Heather's cousin, Nigel, head out on the river to find her. Hilarity ensues as they re-build their friendship and look for the girl of Ben's dreams.
